Europe. Water crisis.<\/strong><\/h2>
<\/div>[vc_column_text el_class=”blocksatz”]According to the European Drought Observatory<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (EDO), during the plenary session of the European Parliament from July 12th to 15th this year, it was revealed that a drought alert is already in place for 8% of the EU territory<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. Furthermore, there is already a warning<\/strong> for more than 25% of the EU<\/strong>‘s area.<\/p>\n

In order to improve<\/strong> EU water resources, members of parliament called for measures to preserve regions that have been affected by drought and declining groundwater levels<\/strong> for several years. The impacts of the looming drought are already visible in France, Spain, and northern Italy, raising concerns about water supply for human consumption, agriculture, and energy generation.<\/p>\n
